"High noon ET, around the dial on cable news, the dream of 18 million Democrats and every Republican in America finally dies. There [is a] ... sickeningly sweet Strange New Respect ... from the same media that”s been crapping on [Senator Hillary Clinton] .. and don”t think the public hasn”t noticed. I’ll be watching it on MSNBC for the comic spectacle of Chris Matthews et al. gushing grotesquely afterwards to atone for months of behavior that inspired websites like this." AllahPundit @ Hotair

FIGHT BACK against the completely unacceptable, unprofessional, reprehensible, over-the-top actions, attitudes, words and behaviors of MSNBC/NBC and their elitist, smirking, condescending on-air employees and the cherry-picked biased talking head pundits. If we don’t do it, nothing will ever change. Now is the time. Exercise YOUR Freedom of Speech by sending a loud message that we are sick and tired of rich, pampered, smug, elitist Washington and New York egomaniacs (who can’t get enough of hearing their own voices) telling us what to think, believe, feel and especially how to vote! They don’t represent us or reflect the voices of (at least )18 million of us. Join us today.

Yes, we can and we will send a mighty and powerful message!

Take a stand and join — participate and help to create a community which takes immediate action. You can begin by taking these two simple CONCRETE ACTIONS:

  1. Boycott MSNBC and NBC News Programs (you know who they are)
  2. Boycott the advertisers of MSNBC and NBC News/Election Coverage Programs (let them know why you refuse to purchase their products or support their causes.)

Instead of becoming apathetic or feeling powerless, let’s do something together to harness and target the anger, fury and disgust we have all felt due to the myriad and unrelenting ways Hillary Clinton, her supporters, and ALL voters who thought VOTERS should decide have been slimed during the past 15 months. While others listen to lofty abstract speeches and while (or whether) the nattering smug bloviators continue with their unrelenting character assassination of Senator Hillary Clinton AND HER SUPPORTERS, we will make a difference together! Yes, we will.

The danger is that, in their headlong rush to stop the first major female candidate (aka "Hildebeast" and "Hitlery") from becoming president, the punditocracy may have landed the Democrats with perhaps the least qualified presidential nominee ever.

Something else to keep in mind: you can also send a powerful message to the elitist backroom dealers and so-called ‘leaders’ of the anti-democracy democrat party boycott msnbc nbcby registering as an independent voter. They too continue to take our support, needs, voices and VOTES for granted. It is time for we-the-people to take back our representation and make our voices heard again by holding the elites of the corporate owned media — (who BTW are using OUR public airwaves, paid for by OUR tax dollars to present biased unfair coverage) — accountable, and by holding OUR governmental representatives accountable.

To paraphrase Howard Beale, a much more preferable fictional news anchor from the film Network:

"We’re as mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!"

Dear Furious and Appalled Hillary supporters and fair-minded citizens:

Clarion call to the Women and Men who believe in fairness and democracy — voters and citizens of all Walks of Life — Supporters of Senator Hillary Clinton — and all those who have been appalled by the despicable, unprofessional, biased, demeaning treatment of Senator Clinton (and her supporters) — especially and most notoriously by MSNBC, NBC news and their election divisions.

Here are some of Brit Andrew Stephens insightful observations from a recent New Statesman article:

History, I suspect, will look back on the past six months as an example of America going through one of its collectively deranged episodes — rather like Prohibition from 1920-33, or McCarthyism some 30 years later. This time it is gloating, unshackled sexism of the ugliest kind. It has been shamelessly peddled by the US media, which — sooner rather than later, I fear — will have to account for their sins. The chief victim has been Senator Hillary Clinton, but the ramifications could be hugely harmful for America and the world.

...it is quite inconceivable that any leading male presidential candidate would be treated with such hatred and scorn as Clinton has been. What other senator and serious White House contender would be likened by National Public Radio’s political editor, Ken Rudin, to the demoniac, knife-wielding stalker played by Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction? Or described as "a fucking whore" by Randi Rhodes, one of the foremost personalities of the supposedly liberal Air America? Could anybody have envisaged that a website set up specifically to oppose any other candidate would be called Citizens United Not Timid? (We do not need an acronym for that.)‡

No matter what the outcome of the November 2008 elections, no matter whom you choose to cast your vote for (or write in) in November 2008, this much is clear: MSNBC and NBC must be targeted and punished for their over the top, vicious, sexist, classist, cruel, ugly, demeaning, contemptuous UN-AMERICAN, unfair, unprofessional, unrelenting and blatantly biased treatment against Senator Hillary Clinton (and her supporters) and blatantly in favor of Barack Obama during this unprecedented historic quest for the presidency! Both candidates were groundbreaking history-making trailblazers, but you would never know it when tuning in to hear the various talking heads on the MSNBC and NBC political news and election coverage. You already know exactly what we’re talking about. Did we mention vitriolic and venomous?

"What’s particularly saddening," says Paul Krugman, professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton and a rare dissenting voice from the left as a columnist in the New York Times, "is the way many Obama supporters seem happy with the ... way pundits and some news organisations treat any action or statement by the Clintons, no matter how innocuous, as proof of evil intent." Despite widespread reporting to the contrary, Krugman believes that most of the "venom" in the campaign "is coming from supporters of Obama".‡

In fact, the elite nattering nabobs and arrogant, smug punditocracy continue to make little if any attempt conceal their utter contempt and undisguised snobbery and pointy-nosed sneering at American voters: seniors, working class, poor, hard-working, middle-aged, farmers, rural, suburban, rust-belt, appalachian, blue-collar, waitresses, secretaries, truck drivers, latinos, black Hillary supporters, church-goers, law abiding gun-owners, non-elites, young people, independents and all those other citizens who supported Senator Clinton — WOMEN and MEN — whom they continue to derisively refer to as un-educated and as bigots. That’s how they refer to us, the 17.9 million American citizens and primary VOTERS who have supported/continue to support Senator Clinton and those who have believed — and insisted — it is up to VOTERS to decide who will be the candidates, not the arrogant punditocracy and the smug talking heads of the elite, biased media.

I cannot think of any television network or major newspaper that is not guilty of blatant sexism — the British media, naturally, reflexively follow their American counterparts — but probably the worst offender is the NBC/MSNBC network, which has what one prominent Clinton activist describes as "its nightly horror shows". Tim Russert, the network’s chief political sage, was dancing on Clinton’s political grave before the votes in North Carolina and Indiana had even been fully counted — let alone those of the six contests to come, the undeclared super-delegates, or the disputed states of Florida and Michigan.

The unashamed sexism of this giant network alone is stupendous. ...commentator Chris Matthews referred to Clinton as a "she-devil". His colleague Tucker Carlson casually observed that Clinton "feels castrating, overbearing and scary . . . When she comes on television, I involuntarily cross my legs." This and similar abuse, I need hardly point out, says far more about the men involved than their target.‡

The best way to stand up to the unabating B.S. is to BOYCOTT — stop watching — MSNBC and NBC and specifically target their smarmy, smug arrogant, misogynist, cowardly, warped, Obama-cheerleading biased pundits, the cowardly spineless dittohead stenographers masquerading as faux journalists, undisguised Obama shills and the disingenuous, dishonest, biased analysists (purposefully stacked in Obama’s favor) who went out of their way to denigrate Senator Clinton AND HER SUPPORTERS in such demeaning, sneering, condescending and ugly terms (using tired, clichéd, ugly stereotypes, dehuhmanizing terminology and vicious character assassinations which would have caused them to be fired on the spot had they spoken about Obama, people of color, Jews, gays, disabled or several other ‘minority’ groups in similarly despicable ways).

And — STOP BUYING — let their advertisers know exactly why you and your family will not be buying their products or services while this boycott is in effect.

We need to make sure the energy and momentum are harnessed and targeted. Help us get this off the ground by showing you’re ready and willing to take a stand, to have your voice heard!

Read the entire insightful article by Andrew Stephen at the New Statesman online. Sometimes it takes an outsider to offer some clarity against the utter lack of journalistic (using that word very loosely) objectivity.

Update:

Some of the MSNBC/NBC advertisers to boycott that we’ve identified so far:

  1. Aleve
  2. Areva
  3. Honda Automobiles
  4. One Touch Diabetes
  5. Reduced Fat Wheat Thins (Nabisco)
  6. Royal Bank of Scotland

Rachel Sklar at Huffington Post wrote about the continuing sexist bluster, bloviating and excuse-making by Olberboy, particularly his sexist hypocritical rant against Katie Couric’s Reporter’s Notebook (see video above). And of course, there’s a recent NY Times article which acknowledges and discusses the media bias and sexism against Senator Clinton (and her supporters), and the boycott movement against NBC and MSNBC.
